Whoisgreen.com is a Business Directory that displays Green Credentials & Social Media content for businesses & organizations of all sizes, maturity, and categories into a single space that consumers can remember.
Our goal is to become the Standard for businesses seeking to express their Green Credentials via Social Media.
Whoisgreen is an information resource for Businesses and Consumers, allowing browsers to Search & Compare suppliers using Green Credentials established from a business's own initiatives, recommendations, programs, and external certification. Businesses completing the Whoisgreen Surveys and Questionnaires must answer a set of specific questions and provide proof to obtain each of the four Green Recognition Stars used to power Search & Quick-Search, displaying results with the most content rich information at the top to the least at the bottom. Creating a Whoisgreen business profile is easy and takes no more than three minutes to setup. There is no cost to seek the first two Green Recognition Stars.

The idea for Whoisgreen.com originated from the process that the founder David Burns experienced during the design and construction of his sustainable family home, located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney Australia in 2005. David's family home has been featured in magazines and TV for the many green initiatives adopted to address design efficiency, energy, water, materials, biodiversity, and performance monitoring. However, the research required to decide on the final specification was a difficult process and in many cases, decisions had to be made without access to information or product availability. Whoisgreen.com was created to help solve this problem as the world gets bigger.
Green Credentials help consumers make informed decisions and match the level of green integration desired within a product or service. Industrial Ecology and Green Chemistry are David's other passions, and he is actively involved in a green-field Industrial Ecology development in his home country of Australia to demonstrate that efficiency and design is what makes businesses successful.

David Burns - Chief Executive Officer
David Burns is the Chief Executive Officer and founding Director with responsibility for providing sustainability direction for WhoIsGreen.com. David’s leadership shall ensure that Whoisgreen provides a service that helps business profiles promote their Green Credentials and win new business.
David Burns is a professionally qualified environmental chemist and former co-founder of LabMark (analytical laboratory group) in Australia. Born in 1969, his sustainable Sydney home was a NSW architecture finalist, and native garden recently recognised by ABC Gardening Australia. David is a NSC Member of the Rocky Mountain Institute and is the design consultant advising Weston Matrix on Australia’s first purpose-built Industrial Ecology Park to be located near Newcastle, Australia. David's other business interests are in the area of energy efficiency metrics using real-time digital signage & monitoring. David's long-term goal is to use the success of his equity in Whoisgreen to create a philanthropic-engine to support important work being undertaken in the fields of Energy Efficiency, Green Chemistry, and Industrial Ecology.
David attributes most of his ongoing understanding and thirst for innovation to his NSC Membership with the Rocky Mountain Institute, and the many inspirational people that form part of this organization. In particular, It was during the RMI 'Reinventing Fire' symposium held in San Francisco in 2009 that David recalls a conversation with Ray Anderson of Interface who provided the words of encouragement for David to get involved in meaningful projects and said, “Look inside yourself and determine who you are and what values define you, and how you can do good.”
This advice has become David’s central approach to business, including connecting people and businesses where synergies exist.
Lauren Aichinger - Director of Business Development
Lauren Aichinger is the primary point of contact for all business development and publicity within the North American market.
Born in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, Lauren was raised with a profound respect and appreciation for the natural world. After completing her Undergraduate in Business Communications and Media Arts at the University of Arizona, Lauren moved to New York City and worked in Advertising then Sales, where she developed into a goal-driven, customer-focused professional demonstrating consistent achievement of service in highly competitive markets. Lauren has consulted with growing business to guide sustainable growth with ‘green’ practices; is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Sustainable Business through the San Francisco Institute for Architecture, and is an active member of the New York Academy of Sciences.
By connecting businesses to Information and Search (Green Credentials) provided by WhoIsGreen.com, Lauren aims to participate in the growth of the green industry and help customers find better outcomes that that make their businesses more successful and win new opportunities. With a passion for the environment and entrepreneurial spirit Lauren strongly believes that when people have access to good information linked with options to choose products and services that do not harm the environment, individuals will prefer to Go-Green.
